Matching Pair

I think my mojo returned briefly and stayed long enough for me to make this matching pair, I intend to fill the box with some yummy choccies. My homemade gifts cupboard is looking a little empty at the moment and I really need to get myself organised to fill it up again, its always so handy to have something in stock.

I would like to enter this set in Debbies MSE Challenge of using something old, these Basics papers have been in my papers drawer for ages and the white flower on the box I have had years! so I think that will qualify :-) Hop over to Debbies blog for all things Bear!

If anyone finds my mojo can they send it back to me please :-) I haven't done any crafting yet this year!! I keep looking at all the stuff on my desk and nothing happens.... no inspiration at all, I seem to have crafters block. I thought I could start with a nice easy sketch but then could decide which one or which papers to use lol. I will have to make something soon as I have 2 birthdays coming up this month.

Last Christmas Card

The run up to Christmas seemed to gallop away and left me making several cards at the last minute, all of them managed to get posted before I could take a piccie, thats how rushed they were. Because time was limited I just chose a simple design and made about 10 more or less the same, this one didn't even make the last post but at least it gave me something to show!!

I've used a Penny Johnson Stamp called Snowy Cuddles with limited colouring and lots of Glamour Dust
Pink Petticoat Falling Snow digi paper - great for batch making.
Ribbon 3 yards for 50p from local market
Punched Snowflakes and a few Gems

I was really pleased with the results so when I make them for this year I shall do the same thing, choose a simple design some digi papers and get a production line going. Will also be more organised this year and get them done in November.

Christmas Chocolate Boxes

I just love making these little boxes they are so easy. I decided to make some for little gifts for Christmas so I stuck to the more traditional red and green, even the Thorntons Chocolates are wrapped in red and gold. You can't really see the papers but they have a holly design on them and the poinsetta's are a Marianne die, great for using up those scraps of card.

Here is one wrapped in cellophane and tied with a red chiffon ribbon, nice and simple.

Sugar Plum Fairy

My friend at work asked me if I could make a special birthday card for her daughter who is a ballet dancer with the Prague Ballet Company.. Jade has a very special starring role this year as she is dancing the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker. My friend is going to Prague this week to watch her dance and to celebrate her forthcoming birthday.

I found this gorgeous image of the Sugar Plum Fairy by Mo Manning and just knew it would be perfect for her card, Maria also told me that Jade's costume would be blue. I found these lovely delicate blue papers by K&Co in my stash and thought it would be nice to add some pleated tulle instead of lace along with a cute little ballet shoe charm. I didn't want to over crowd the card so thought an easel card was the best layout to go for and I think it works well.

Maria wanted a decent size matt to write her own personal sentiment on but wanted me to put Happy birthday daughter on the front. I also made the box for it to go in from some pearlised card.

You can just about see the tulle in this photo. I had to use the flash as the card has to be taken to work with me tomorrow and I know I won't have time in the morning to take piccies. I'm just hoping that she likes it, I tried my best!

Old papers

I have had these K&Co papers in my stash drawer for ages and had almost given them away,( I am preparing a box for a little girl who makes cards for extra pocket money) Suddenly I needed a pinky purple paper to go with this coloured image and I remembered these, might just hang on to them for a while longer lol.

The image is one of the Wee Stamps I coloured at the weekend (see below post) I have kept this card nice and simple and flat and because its nice and glittery I can see it going into my grandaughters box for one of her friends!!

Copic colouring practice

After being treated by my lovely hubby and with me working a couple of extra shifts I am now the very proud owner of 180 brand spanking new Copic Ciao Pens :-) I downloaded the colour chart and the Copics Colour Wheel to try and help me get to grips with my colouring. I have also purchased this week some more of the fabulous digi stamps by Sylvia Zet, Wee Stamps. I absolutely adore these stamps and whats more they are really nice for colouring. I would like to say a huge thank you to Sylvia as I had a few problems with the downloads and she very quickly came to my rescue and with a few emails helped to sort it out. Hop over to Sylvia's website and have a look at all her wonderful stamps, there is a new release for November too :-)

Right, down to practice, where on earth to start!! Bev Rochester of All the Things I Love blog makes some amazing cards and her colouring is to die for so I hopped over to her blog and used the inspiration from one of her coloured images to try and colour for myself. I didn't have the exact colours so had to improvise with what I had. These two images are just for practice and won't be used on my cards without Bevs permission.

I also used the Copics Marker blog for getting the tones for different coloured hair and what pen codes to use for shading. I am really pleased with the results.

I need to work a bit harder on the tights for this one, I made a bit of a mess.

and lastly a gorgeous fairy, I think liberal sprinklings of Glamour Dust to her wings will be a must!

And finally, this is the messy desk after I had finished. Better tidy up before I start again on a few more Wee Stamp images.

Lace and Bling

Another quickie card from me today, I found this piece of purple paper in my scrap box today and it was just big enough to make this shaped card and as it happened the lace was also just the right size. Its quite a good feeling when you can use up something, I really hate throwing stuff away, my bits box is overflowing at the moment, so today I feel quite virtuous :-).

I have spent the afternoon practising my colouring and I have to say it is getting a little better. More on that tomorrow.

I really could do with taking a leaf out of this LOTV images book and start shopping for Christmas!! I will have to pin DH down to a day at Meadowhall, I shop, he carries it back to the car :-) I'm not panicking yet cos I know I will be ready on the day. I had managd to put this card on my Facebook album a couple of weeks ago and never got it blogged so here it is.

The papers are First Edition and the image was coloured with Spectrum Noir pens, metal corner from Wild Orchid Crafts and the little parcel charm from Crafty Emma's Store, velvet ribbon and sentiment from my stash.

I added an Xcut punched butterfly with a pearl to the inside.

A day to myself

It seems ages since I had a day to myself, what with working and decorating I just havent had much time for blogging. I have made a few cards and have just managed to get some piccies of them while its still daylight.

Last week I made a card for a customer it was for an 80th birthday, I liked it so much I have made another with a matching gift card holder for my Mums birthay on friday.

The image has been coloured with Copics.

This is the matching gift card holder, I just need to buy a pink or purple card to fit inside, I have used an old one for show.

I think my Mum will like them.

Another card here that I made a couple of weeks ago and didn't have time to blog, I had a bit of a spurt on making a few cards then just ran out of time. Dont think I will be making any now for a week as we are decorating!!! I'd much rather be playing with my new Copics :-)

This card is a combination of First Edition papers, ones with a bit of a sparkle and this gorgeous LOTV stamped image coloured with Spectrum Noir Pens. The poinsetta is a Marianne Die and I have used glitter card for it with a crystal gem in the centre.

I actually made this Christmas card a couple of weeks ago and never got round to blogging it. I have no idea what this stamped image is called, it was one left over from last year that was given to me as a gift from my lovely friend Sarah. I think the papers are Dovecraft Basics Christmas, I bought them as a part pack a while ago and there is no cover sheet in the pack, I think they go well with this image, the sentiment stamp is from LOTV.

Love, love, love this li'l cutie and she was the perfect image for these Authentique Christmas papers. Lace and seambinding from Wild Orchid Crafts and die cut is a Marianne Die with a Craftworks Cards Sentiment for the centre. I added a few sparkly red polka dots to the flower centres on the paper and to the image just to finish off.

Snowy Cuddles

Brrrrr......... Its freezing here in Doncaster today, just the right temperature for making a wintery card!! Today I have used Snowy Cuddles by Penny Johnson, I just love cute li'l snowmen and it was a doddle to colour in just a few flicks here and there and lots of Crystal Glamour Dust, perfect for making a job lot of cards. The embossing folder I used is a Sizzix one I bought last year and it was still in the packet unused...oops... the little snowflake punch has been in my stash for years, I think I could do with a bigger one next year. I added a few icy blue gems and a computer generated sentiment to complete the card. Quick and easy!!

Thought it was about time to blog another card, I have been busy at work the last few days and just didn't have time. This cute little stamp is another of my favourite LOTV stamps, its Emma with Presents and this time she is coloured pink. The papers are Nitwits "Grin and Bear it" and they are totally gorgeous, if you like pink and bears then they are a must. The lovely sheer ribbon was a bargain from a local market 3 metres for 50p!! so I got red and gold too :-) The gems were clear ones I coloured with a promarker just to tone in with the gem brad on the ribbon, and the last of my fancy corners from Wild Orchid Crafts, must get some more of these. The pink border is a Marianne Die and the sentiment is from my stash.

Wee little Fairy

First of all apologies for the carp photo, the light is terrible today and I got fed up of trying to get a good one, for some reason this is bleached and a bit out of focus, me thinks its getting time for a new camera :-)

Anyway ..... don't you just love this little cutie, she is Winter Fairy from Wee Stamps, I spotted her this morning and here she is, aren't digi stamps fantastic? no waiting for the postie and you can pay with paypal!!

The papers are from First Edition and are a bit sparkly so I added lots of glamour dust to my image so not only is she cute she is sparkleicious. I have a new Marianne swirly die too, I have loved this die since I saw it on Marjories fabulous cards and I just had to buy it, its a bit fiddly to stick down but managed to secure it eventually. The ribbon is from The Hobby House and the sentiment is computer generated. Just need to find a challenge to enter......

Bildmalarna Easel Card

The card challenge over on the MSE forum has been set by the lovely Jenny aka Dragonllew, Jenny has just started doing demo's and designing cards for her local craft shop and this week has been showing how to make Easel Cards so she also chose this as our challenge theme. For my card I decided to use this extra cute li'l Bildmalarna stamp she is called Mimosa, I think she is just so pretty, I gave her bunch of flowers a bit of glitter but it's not showing up on the piccies. The flowery paper is actually double-sided card and it was a bit of a dilema as to which side to use but I went with the smaller design and teamed it up with some purple card for matting. Polka dot ribbon and the metal embellies are from The Hobby House and the Lace from Wild Orchid Crafts (my last bit of this one and it just fit!!) the flower is a Marianne die with a lace flower and bead for the centre and the sentiment and shaped cards are from Craftworks Cards.

After a really busy week at work I needed to have an hour to myself in my craftroom. I found the new challenge on the Craft your Days Away blog, quite a simple challenge of Pink Brown and Blue. I had this little Tilda image ready for colouring and the swirls already cut out on my Silhouette so this little card was easy to put together.

This card was very quickly put together for a friends daughter who is having her Passing Out Parade on the 22nd September, and they wanted something special and personal for her. I made a couple of different ones but this is the one they chose. The papers are from First Edition and are a bit sparkly and this gorgeous digi stamp is by Wee Stamps, isn't she adorable, she has been coloured with my Spectrum Noir Pens and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Just back from holidays and have finally caught up with the washing and ironing so thought I better catch up in blogland. Just to break me in gently I have used a gorgeous cute square from LOTV, I never ever tire of using these and they really are one of my favourite bits of stash.These fab papers are by First Editions and were a gift from my lovely friend Jennie, please check out Jennie's blog as her cards are amazing. There seems to be a few challenges around for making your own flowers so I have used a Marianne Die and a bead cap flattened with my craft hammer for the centre, a few pearls and twiddly bits completes my card.

Another First Edition paper has been used to decorate the inside.

Even if the sparkle doesn't show up on the piccies!!!

Mimosa and new Watermark

Todays card is pretty Mimosa with flowers from Bildmalarna, isn't she just gorgeous! I have coloured her with my new Spectrum Noir pens and a bit of prisma pencil. I really am trying with my shading but not sure if its right, the thing is I'm happy with how it looks so I guess thats what counts lol. The papers I have used have been in my stash for years and had worked there way down to the very bottom of the pile, they are by KandCo. I have a few of the 6x6 paper packs and now they are at the top of the pile you might just see some more of them. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the pearls from The Hobby House.

I had 2 sheets of this paper so have used the same one inside.

Now about the watermark.... I bought this from Whimsey Stamps well over a month ago and its just been sat on my desktop waiting for me to suss out how to use it. I'm not very techie so it has really wound me up faffing about with it but, I think I have it cracked.... YAY!!!!!! Not sure if it needs to be a bit bigger, I don't want it to take over from the card but at the same time don't want it to look like a smudge lol. Do you think it looks ok?

Paper Embroidery

Todays card came from a book of stitching patterns and decoupage which I have had for ages, I love doing these stab and stitch patterns, not too keen on the decoupage bit though I find them a bit fiddly, it turned out ok though.

Turquoise and Pink again!!

Today I actually had a couple of hours all to myself :-) what better way to spend it than colouring with my new pens lol. Turquoise and pink today. The papers are from First Edition and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, I have used a peel off corner today instead of the metal ones and a few pearls from the Range. The sentiment is from Craftworks Cards and is actually silver, its showing up gold cos the light in the conservatory isn't very good just now and I hate using the flash.

As usual these days I have decorated the inside to match.

Fit for a Princess

When this beautiful stamped image dropped through my letterbox a few weeks ago from my lovely friend Sarah I just knew that one day I would colour her in pinks. I have no idea of her name but she is so adorable I think I NEED the stamp lol. To colour her I have used my new Spectrum Noir pens and teamed her up with some freebie MME papers from a magazine I bought last year. The pink seam binding and the fab metal corner are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the pearls from The Hobby House, instead of using Lace I have used my MS Lace Border punch.

I have decorated the inside to compliment the front. A sentiment will be added later when I need to use it.

LOTV and Spectrum Noir Pens

Just back from a lovely 5 day break with the caravan, we had a fab time with our grandaughter Willow. I took my new Spectrum Noir Pens with me to have a practice colouring with them, I am really impressed, they are gorgeous to use and the colours are stunning. They are so easy to handle and blend lovely, I used the Neenah Card and Memento ink and I had no bleeding :-) I kept this card quite simple cos this image is one of my very favourites. I'm really happy with the result.

Wedding Invitations

Thought I had better show you what I have been up to over the past couple of weeks. My son and his lovely partner are getting married later this year and they asked me to make all the Wedding Stationary. So far I have made the daytime invitations the evening invitations and the place cards, just have the table plan and the table numbers to do when I receive the info.

My soon to be daughter in law will be wearing a white dress and the bridesmaids dresses are black then all the accessories are going to be fuchia pink. I think they are going to look stunning.

The insert has traditional wording and a nice swirly font.

These are the evening Invitation, just a plain quare card, I had to back them to hide the ribbon edges so they are quite sturdy.

I made this card a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't until I had finished it I realised the little elephant was called Humphrey!! Well here he is showing his feminine side and dressed in pink, lol I have kept this card nice and simple and quite flat so its easy to pop into the post. Just used some pretty First Edition papers and a few pearls and swirls.

A short post tonight, I'm shattered and need to go to bed, then its up early for work. Only 2 more shifts then back to working my normal hours. Hoping to get the Wedding invites out of the way this week so I can get on with making some more cards.

Its the end of a hot day in the Bakers Shop and I look almost as red as my tabard!! Just doing the paper work to send back the days waste and then home time :-) Back to a bit of evening crafting to unwind and think about what my next stash purchases will be lol. MSE Challenge - Things with wings

This times challenge over on the MSE forum has been set by the lovely Jenny aka Dragonllew and she chose the theme of "Things with Wings" My challenge card has been made with another Paper Shelter pre-coloured digi images which are brilliant for a quick card. The papers are from Prima Sparkling Spring and the body of the easel card is from Craftworks Cards but the mount for the image I had to cut on my Silhouette Machine, I finished off with a Craftworks cards Wedding Anniversary sentiment a coupl;e of heart pearls and some Glamour Dust.

This was a fill your box stall £6. WOW!! what a bargain, well over 100 sheets of Toppers, Decoupage, and loads of double sided card and a few of the Kanban style concept card sheets (I think thats what they are called)

Far too many to photograph, this is just a bit of it.

Doncaster Show

Today my friend Jacquie and I went to the Summer Crafting Show at the Doncaster Racecourse its practically on our doorstep so it would have been rude not to go and have a good old spend!! Spend we did! we both came home weighed down with stuff and absolutely shattered. I managed to get the rest of the suff I needed to make my son and future daughter in laws wedding invites, so thats my job for the next week after work. I did go armed with a list and managed to get everything plus extras, as you do...

We went to the Crafters Companion stall for my friend to buy the new Popcorn Pals CD and Jacqui Dennis was demonstrating new colouring pens "Spectrum noir" designed and developed by Crafters Companion. They are the same as Copics and Promarkers only much cheaper, the launch price is £75 for 72 pens in a holdall and they look, feel and colour fantastic, you can use them with Prisma pencils and Sansador just the same. Jacqui was very helpful and I could have stayed there all day just watching her colouring. After mulling it over we went back in the afternoon and saw the new demonstrator who happened to be Marcea from Marceas Crafting Corner I have been following her blog for a while now and after a bit of a natter we placed an order for the full set :-) and with the Create and Craft members discount they were £67.50 and are delivered free. I can't wait for them to arrive and have a proper go.

By 2.30pm we were both shattered , starving and skint so it was time to head home and start saving for the next show at the Doncaster Dome in October

It been a bit manic this week, I have been working extra shifts to cover for holidays and am absolutely shattered!!! Teachers Gift

Last night I was half way through my LOTV Challenge card when my Daughter in law rang to ask if I could make a special card and gift for one of the teachers at Willows school who will be leaving next week. When Willow had a few problems with lack of confidence she allowed her to take her teddy Spencer into school and even gave him his own seat!! The school and the pupils will miss her so much, over the last 30 years of teaching little ones she has become everyones granny. I thought this cute little image would remind her of Willow and Spencer.

Here is the matching box, full of yummy Lily O`Brien chocolates.

Here it is wrapped in cellophane, I also made a pearlised card box for the card.

I hope she will like it.

The challenge over on Paper Creations Ink is Red, White and Blue and I decided to use this cute little pirate from Mary Fran, at Nitwits. I think I am getting a little obssesed with these pre coloured images at the moment as they are just sooo easy and my colouring leaves a lot to be desired. What I need is for Bev Rochester to come to Doncaster and do a Masterclass in colouring lol I would be there like a shot!! I have teamed this little chap up with some trusty gingham paper matted on to some bright red card and the sentiment is computer generated plus a few candy from Craftworks Cards.

Suprise Package

When I got home from a hard day at work the other day, the postie had been and left me a suprise package.

When I opened it I found these delish papers and flowers from my lovely friend Jennie, thank you so much Jennie I really love everything. I thought the best way to use some of them was by following this fab sketch from Lili of the Valley along with one of my favourite cute squares. Just needed to add a bit of lace from Wild Orchid Crafts and a couple of pearl stars and hey presto my entry for the LOTV challenge was complete.

Having just aquired some new digi stamps from The Paper Shelter as a challenge prize I had to have a go at the Wild West Challenge over on Cards for Men. These images come as a pre coloured image and a stamped one to colour yourself. As I was a bit short of time I used a pre coloured one and it printed out really well. The main checked paper is a digi paper from Nitwits and the green check is by Basic Grey (scraps from my bit box) I have used Kraft paper for my matting and a button and string from my stash.

Strawberry Shortcake

My little grandaughter Willow will be 8 years old at the end of July and she adores strawberries, I've had this digi paper from Nitwits for ages and when Antonia included the cute little strawberry charms in my challenge prize I knew I had to make her a Strawberry Shortcake card.

I have been really lucky just lately and have won a few challenges including the one on the MSE cardmaking forum which was also set by the lovely Antonia. Swirls and Pearls

Having won Antonia's challenge over on the MSE forum its now my turn to set the next one. As I was half way through making this card I decided on the theme of "Swirls and Pearls", hopefully my card will give my fabulous crafting buddies a bit of inspiration, not that any of them need it as they all make wonderful cards.

My lovely friend Sarah sent me this gorgeous flowery paper, its so beautiful it hurt to cut it lol She also sent me the stamped image, what a wonderful friend, Sarah knows just what I like and we have only met once! The rest of the embellies are from my stash though!!

I used a contrasting pink spotty paper for the inside and used pearls swirls and a butterfly punchie. I will make a sentiment on the computer when I'm ready to use this card it just makes it easier to personalise it.

Ooops!! Lily of the Valley cute square again!! I love the subtle colours of these gorgeous Basic Grey Capella papers and they were just the right ones for this fab cute square. The beautiful cotton lace was from Wild Orchid Crafts as were the flowers, the seam binding is from Crafty Ribbons.

I have decorated the inside with the same papers and the scalloped/holey square I cut on my Silhouette Machine, I added a bow to match the one on the front.

I'm hoping this card is ok for the MSE Challenge set by the lovely Toni, she has chosen a recipe for us which is

Birthday Card and Gift

Last week it was my lovely friend Tams birthday and here is the card and gift I made for her. I have used one of my LOTV new die cut squares and the papers are "Tea House" from another of my lovely friends Sarah.

The inside has been decorated to compliment the front.

These photos of the gift box are carp, it was late at night and I used the flash, which I hate doing, you never get the true colours. I needed to get it wrapped up and posted the next day as we were going away on holiday.

I used the same instructions as for the blue box and instead of a pretty matching paper on the top I just used some pearlised card and swiss dots embossing folder.

I filled the box with a mixture of flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and Hobbycrafts.

Tams did email me to say she had received it and that she loved it. Hop over to Tams blog and see the fabulous suprise her lovely partner Paul had planned for her birthday, she is one very lucky lady.

Nesties Box

Last year for my birthday my friend Sarah made me a cute pink box full of chocolates and ever since then I have been going to have a go at making one myself. Finally yesterday I managed it. I used the instructions from this blog, I didn't have that particular nestie so I cut one to fit on my Silhouette machine.

The lace wouldn't wrap around in one go so I had to snip it at the corners so it would fit properly.

This is a close up of the lid, the patterned paper and swirls were also cut on the Silhouette.

I am really pleased with how it looks and I shall put it away to use for a gift at a later date. It was so easy to make I think I shall be making some more.

Basket of Chocolates.......yum!!

Something other than a card from me today, I thought I would make this little basket for a gift and fill it with chocolates for my good friend who has a non-birthday next month. Its her birthday at christmas and she usually misses out on having a special day, so we we celebrate her birthday in June instead and I always make her a card and a small gift.

I used the tutorial from this blog, its so easy to make and can be put together in minutes. I have filled this one with Lily O`Briens Sticky Toffee Chocolates, they are really moreish. As I have made the card based on a garden theme I popped a chocolate ladybird in the bottom of the basket then piled the others on top :-)

Here it is with the card, I made it a few months ago and you can see the details here.

Here it is wrapped and the box I made from pearlised card. The box ribbon isn't stuck down and I think it looks naff so I will take it off and maybe just add a nice label.

Here we have another of the gorgeous digi stamps from Sugar Nellie, I just had to have this one as it reminds me of my grandaughter Willow and her favourite teddy Spencer. Its ages since I used my Basic Grey paper stash and these rose papers from the Sugared collection were just crying out to be used. I have used some of the beautiful cotton lace I bought last week from Wild Orchid Crafts along with the fancy scroll corner and the pretty pink gingham ribbon came from our local market. It was a really easy card to make. I had 2 pieces of the paper so I used the other bit to decorate the inside.

Its a really blustery day here in Doncaster and far too blowy to be out in the garden so I opted for the warmth of my craftroom. Here we have some more of the fabulous Memory Box papers sent to me by my lovely friend Sarah, I have just loved using these papers they are such good quality and the colours are superb. Cute LOTV Bunny

I thought it was about time I used some of my new LOTV die cut squares. I have been stroking this gorgeous paper from my lovely friend Sarah for a couple of weeks and finally decided to use it with this cute l'il bunny.

A quick sneeky peek at the inside. I had to stand the card on this crochet doily cos I had just polished the unit top and it was too slippy to stand up lol. It is a handmade one though :)

I have been wanting to post this card for a couple of days but naughty Blogger has been off air and I have missed the deadlines for some of the challenges grrrrrrr. Anyway here we have another LOTV stamped image, I love these little fairies they are just so cute.

Li'l Cowboy

Royal Wedding Day card

Butchers Block!!

I had a phone call from my DIL yesterday, "do you think you can make me a card with sausages on please? I'm not in a hurry, its not his birthday until the 24th" so my reply was "so you need it yesterday, to post, so he gets it on time? "oh, what date it it today then" "the 21st and its bank holiday weekend" "ok, he will get it late then!! lol

After much searching on the internet I found this image, so quickly got to work making the card, it had to be nice and flat so it didn't need to go through the post office.

I rang to say it was finished and they will collect it on Sunday when they come for dinner because they are going camping overnight!! Poor chap will get his card next week.

Lacey Tilda

Yesterday was my future daughter in laws 40th birthday and this is the card I made for her. I made it back in February because we were going down to see them, they live 320 miles away and even though I made a box for it I didn't want to post it incase it got squashed. I sent my son a nice cheque to pop inside for her.

I decorated the inside to match and made a nice sentiment for the verse on the computer.

Just a close up of the sparkly Tilda, I love this stamp, it's so pretty and feminine and perfect for Julie's card..

Wedding Anniversary

WOW!! look at me, 2 posts in one day!! Its not very often I say this about one of my cards but.... I really love this one.... there, said it. It was one of those moments when once I had chosen these exqusite Prima papers sent to me by my lovely friend Sarah, everything else just seemed to jump into place! I think this card was made in record time. Usually I sit and ponder for ages and sometimes I even have to walk away as the inspiration just isn't happening! I think I will have to find some challenges to enter his one in.

Easter Card Challenge

The lovely Jennie over on the MSE forum has set us a challenge to make an Easter Card or a Spring themed card, this is my entry. I always find yellow and green difficult colours, don't really know why, I bought these K&Co papers a couple of years ago and they have just been sat in the drawer so thought I had better get on with using them. The image is a new one from Magnolia I have coloured it with promarkers and added a bit of glamour dust.

I have decorated the inside to match. I think I will send this card to a friend I haven't seen for ages so instead of a verse I will write a nice note to her.

Tea and Chat

I made this card a couple of weeks ago and realised I didn't blog it, its another of the Lili of the Valley Cute Squares from the Tea and Chat pack. My lovely friend Sarah sent me the DP's they are from the Tea House Collection and suited this image perfectly.

I added some of the lovely pink seambinding, I quite like this stuff and its only £1 for 5 metres, great value. The pearls, gems and flower are from my stash and the swirl was cut on my Silhouette.

I have decorated the inside to match, I haven't included a sentiment or verse so it can be used for any occasion.

A couple of flowery cards from me today, the first one is using Pink Petticoat papers which were free with a magazine, the doily and border have been cut on my Silhouette machine. I have added a bit of glamour dust round the edge of the image just to give a bit of sparkle.

You can just see that I have decorated the inside to match.

This one is using a digi stamp from Nitwits with some Papermania papers that have been in my paper drawer for ages. The swirl has been ct on my Silhouette machine with gems added for sparkle, ribbon from the Range and a brad from a stash swap. Thank you for looking xxx

I'm loving the new Spring collection of Tilda Stamps just now, they are all so cute. I have used some Nitwits papers to match the image, the wordy paper says "your little lamb" on it so I just had to use it.

Gone Dotty

Just a quick post from me today with my last nights make, I have gone dotty!! my husband has been telling me that for years. I love this little hAnglar girl with her spotty little suit so I dug some of my Wild Rose Studio Polka Dots papers out and a bit of spotty ribbon, some glamour dust and pearls. I have a feeling this card will end up in my grandaughters box of cards, its getting to that time of year when she gets invited to lots of birthday parties.

Spring Time Card

The challenge over on the MSE cardmaking forum this time was set by flying_fresian and the theme is `Animalistic` Time seems to be galloping away at speed at the moment and as I made this card with a rabbit on yesterday I thought it might qualify for the challenge. As it was a fabulous sunny day yesterday it put me in the mood to make a spring time card and I thought this little image was so cute.

I had a dig about in my papers, OMG!! how many papers does one need!!! lol these are some old Daisy & Dandelion "Picnic Patch" ones which matched the colours of the image but becase they were a bit pale I used the purple card for mounting to liven it up a bit plus I love purple. No glamour dust today, just a bit of fluffy stuff on the rabbits tail.

Pom Pom Fairy

Finally got round to making my daughter-in-laws birthday card last night, thanks to a fab new sketch by Bev on the Lili of the Valley challenge blog. I love these fairy stamps also from LOTV this one is called Pom Pom fairy and you can buy her here. I have teamed her up with these gorgeous Tea House papers which were a gift from my lovely friend Sarah, check out her blog and see her gorgeous cards. I had a sheet of glitterations card in just the right colour to match in my stash cupboard.

I have decorated the inside with the same paper, just have to personalise it for my DIL, I have added a glittery butterfly to match the wings on the fairy and added an oval pearl bead.

The lacy border is one I have cut with my Silhouette machine and the round scallops are cut on the cuttlebug. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and pearls from Hobbycraft.

When I saw the lovely easy sketch over on Cards for Men challenge blog I knew I had to have a go. I already had this cute image stamped and coloured but his balloon and star were yellow so I quickly coloured them red and added some glossy accents. I chose these lovely papers from Wild Rose Studio and some burgundy card stock plus a few tiny pearls from The Hobby House and this is the end result.

Yet another of my LOTV cute squares, thank goodness I have replenished my stocks of them. I also found this backing paper in a box of old scrapbook papers, I have no idea where it came from but its really pretty.
I also decorated the inside to match, the sentiment is computer generated but originally came from a Pink Gem sentiment stamp, it was just perfect for this card.

Well its a lovely sunny day here in Doncaster, it certainly makes you feel like spring is just around the corner. Todays card is one I have made for an order, the only clue I had was that its for a little girl. Now all little girls like fairies so I thought I would use one of my new LOTV stamps and team her up with some pretty pink papers and ribbon, I couldn't resist adding glamour dust to her wings and shoes and a glittery butterfly to the inside.

Mothers Day Card

Thought I would be a little more organised and make my Mums Mothers Day card in plenty of time instead of the last minute rush. I have embellished it more than I normally do but I am quite pleased with the results and I think she will like it.

I have decorated the inside to match and added a glittery butterfly made with a Xcut punch and a couple of oval pearls. Just need to source a nice verse to add to the centre, I have made a box for it with my Silhouette machine and it fits perfectly.

Two more Gorjuss girls today, I will be on to something else now that all four have been rehomed, the blue one will be winging its way to Australia on Monday and I hope she arrives safely. I have decorated the insides to match again, I am loving doing this at the moment and really like the effect it has on the finished card. One of the things I hate doing is creating an insert for my cards, because by the time I have made the card I want to move onto something else so they usually just get put in a box until required. Decorating the inside straight away takes away that boring job and completes the card instantly.

I'm loving these papers and once printed out they are just as nice as the ones I bought last year for a £1 a sheet (A4) from the craft shop. These cards are for a customer at the shop where I work, she loves anything Gorjuss Girls so I'm hoping she will like these, I have decorated the insides again to match the outer, another benefit of digi papers :-)

I had quite forgotten I had this digi stamp, so its good to give her an airing. I have used Nitwits digi papers too in a soft pink and sage swirly pattern, complimented with a soft pink flower and pearls, the silver swirly corner is a peel off which I have had for years.

For some strange reason the camera has changed the colour of her trousers, they are darker than shown. I have also decorated the inside of the card and added a verse.

Gorjuss Girl

Its absolutely ages since I coloured on of these cute little images, so thought I would give her a little outing. I started this card yesterday and it was one of those that just doesn't want to go together....grrrr... You know the ones, where you have an idea in mind and it just won't do what you want. I ended up with bits snipped here there and everywhere and 3 times I coloured this image, 1st time I cut it out wonky then I blobbed so I left everything until this morning when I tried again and it worked. I also found this lovely sketch on Truly Scrumptious and suddenly all the bits lept onto the card all in the right place, so from a disasterous start we have a very nice finish :) I also decorated the inside. I have been doing this just lately and like the end results, I haven't blogged them yet cos I dont want them to be seen just yet ;)

Pretty Purple Tilda

I needed to make a few flatish cards for my box this weekend, they are so handy if you need to post something at the last minute and the Post Office is closed. I always have a selection of stamps handy and the post box is just across the road. I love this image of Tilda and can't resist glittering the flower garland in her hair. The backing paper was a free download from Bev Rochester (thanks Bev), they are fab and so many colours to choose from, I love gingham papers and think they are a must for anyones stash. The Hearts paper is old stuff from Papermania, just found 2 bits in my bit box, the ribbon was an oddment too, so my efforts to use up bits and bobs still continues :) The scalloped square was cut on my Silhouette SD. I had a bit of a cutting session yesterday and cut lots of backing squares and circles in various sizes, mainly in white cos then I can colour them with promarkers to match the design.

The MSE Challenge this time was set by the lovely Margaret, she chose the theme of Water. I have been wanting to colour this gorgeous free digi stamp sos thought I would make a card based on Rain. The umberella paper was a freebie download probably a couple of years ago, I think it was Cards and Papercrafts magazine online, the image was also a freebie. I need to investigate where it came from so I can give credit, she is sooo lovely, I used glamour dust for the droplets and puddle. Hope it qualifies for your challenge Margaret.
